Macron beats the vaccine booster

In his “address to the French” this Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the President of the Republic announced: -the maintenance of the health pass conditional on the 3ᵉ dose of vaccine,-the pension reform postponed to 2022, -the construction of nuclear reactors.

For half an hour, with a slightly veiled voice, Emmanuel Macron spoke to the French people on November 9, 2021, for the ninth time since the beginning of the health crisis. To tell them first: “We are not finished with the pandemic”. That is why he urges the 6 million French people who have not yet been vaccinated to do so “in order to live normally”.
A booster campaign will be launched on December 15 for people over 65 and people with co-morbidities. The maintenance of the health pass will be conditional on this 3ᵉ dose.
In addition, “A booster campaign will be launched during December” for people aged 50-64, noting in passing that “83% of people in resuscitation are over 50”.

Nuclear reactors

Among other announcements, the Head of State spoke of the economic and social situation, which he considers satisfactory, insisting on the need to work more in the coming years.
He postponed the reform of the pension system to a later date because, he said, “the conditions are not ripe to relaunch this project today.
Another key announcement of this speech: “We will, for the first time in decades, restart the construction of nuclear reactors in our country,” he said, in order to “guarantee France’s energy independence” and “achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
