Moscow : 133 dead and terrorists arrested

Vladimir Putin said on television that the four direct perpetrators of the Crocus City Hall attack had been arrested on their way to Ukraine.

In the wake of the bloody attack on a Moscow suburb concert hall on Friday March 22, 2024, claimed by the Islamic State, the death toll has risen from 115 to 133, with over 100 injured. We know that a few hours after this massacre, which is reminiscent of the Bataclan in 2015, the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.

Muslim blood on their hands

More precisely, the organization in question is the Islamic State in Khorassan (EI-K), the branch of the EI based in Afghanistan. It “accuses the Kremlin of having Muslim blood on its hands, for its actions in Afghanistan, Chechnya and Syria.”
On Saturday, Vladimir Putin announced on Russian television that eleven people had been arrested, including “all the perpetrators” of the Crocus City Hall attack. Four of them were “heading for Ukraine”. The President of the Russian Federation insisted that those responsible for the massacre would be “punished”.

National mourning

On Friday evening, the Ukrainian authorities vigorously denied any connection whatsoever with the Moscow attack.
In a televised address, the head of the Kremlin declared Sunday March 24, 2024 a day of national mourning in Russia. Putin offered his condolences to those who had lost loved ones, “peaceful and innocent people,” he said, “including children, teenagers, women…”
