The SARS-CoV-2 epidemic seems to be resuming in France, which has recorded 47,177 additional cases in the last 24 hours, according to Santé Publique France, and 10,249 people are currently hospitalized.
The first French case of the Omicron variant detected in Reunion Island is not helping matters. More and more countries, frightened by the new mutation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, have decided to close their borders. Morocco, in particular, has decided to suspend all flights to and from France “until further notice”. Paris has decided to repatriate more than 20,000 people on special flights. The WHO advises people over 60 years old not to travel.

114 hospital deaths in 24 hours
In France, the figures are on the rise. On Tuesday 30 November, 47,177 additional cases were recorded with an incidence rate of 300 per 100,000 inhabitants. There are 10,249 Covid-19 patients hospitalized this Tuesday (9,860 on Monday) with 1,187 additional admissions in 24 hours, of which 1,824 are currently in critical care units. 114 Covid-19 patients have died in hospital in the last 24 hours.
Children from 5 to 11 years old
In addition, the High Authority of Health (HAS) recommended this Tuesday to vaccinate the children from 5 to 11 years old and, in particular, those “who present the risk to make a serious form of the disease and to die” as well as to “those living in the entourage of immunocompromised or vulnerable persons not protected by the vaccination”.
360,000 children would be concerned.
