Two recent events attest to this: the Supreme Court struck down the right to abortion and the same Court enshrined the right to bear arms outside the home in New York State. A return to the era of the conquest of the West.
The world was outraged by the retrograde decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, which on Friday, June 24, 2022, revoked a landmark 1973 decision, known as Roe Vs Wade, that recognized abortion as a right protected by the U.S. Constitution. The revocation of this ruling means that, from now on, every state in the U.S. can allow or deny abortion. Out of a total of 50 states, 46 must change their laws.
This is a regression of more than 50 years by the world’s greatest economic power, which also prides itself on being the greatest democracy on the planet. The one that, in the name of God [which one?] believes it has to impose its vision of Good and Evil on the rest of humanity. It exports “its” freedom and “its” Western civilization with cannons: from Vietnam to Ukraine, through Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, etc.
This regression questions us at a time when the great America is distilling its messages from another age via the digital giants, in charge of the thought police via the Internet.
In New York, they bring out the colts
The other event that brings the United States back to the cowboy era is the June 23, 2022 ruling by the Supreme Court, which invalidates a ruling that has been in effect in the state of New York since 1913, prohibiting the carrying of weapons in town.
A ruling “contrary to common sense”, explained Joe Biden who said he was “deeply disappointed” by the decision of the highest court in the United States.
On the other hand, the powerful gun lobby, the National Riffle Association (NRA), welcomed the decision.
Should we expect, in the coming times, settling of scores with revolvers in the streets of New York, and the return of stagecoach attacks?
